29 March 2002: Our web site was selected by the Internet Scout Report for "many resources on the center's Web site that provide an excellent perspective into some of the original breakthroughs in electrical design and the more recent advancements in computer technology. Historical articles and list of frequently asked questions are given on the site, as well as many transcripts of interviews with influential people of the industry. A Milestones section highlights 45 of the most groundbreaking achievements around the world. Every day, a new electrical engineering-related anniversary is presented on the homepage."
13 March 2001: This Web Site was awarded the Lightspan StudyWeb Academic Excellence Award as one of the best educational resources in the area of Technology: Engineering: Electrical Engineering! Lightspan, Inc. provides curriculum-based, educational software and Internet products and services used in schools and at home.
21 July 2000: IEEE History Center's Web Site received it second award, the Links2Go Key Resource Award! Our Site was selected because it is "one of the most relevant pages related to a particular topic on the web today, using an objective statistical measure applied to an extremely large data set."
31 January 2000, the IEEE History Center's Web Site received its first Award from Britannica. They wrote: "...our editors have selected your site as one of the best on the Internet when reviewed for quality, accuracy of content, presentation and usability. ...We know quality is always difficult to accomplish and maintain. Congratulations on being a selected member of the Britannica Internet Guide."
